Talent Academy…….It’s finally here!
In 2010/11 AFLNT will be establishing the first ongoing Talent Academy for Womens AFL.
As a member of this squad you will be competing in the 2011 AFL Womens National Championships which are being held in Adelaide in 6th-12th June.
Under the new branding of NT Thunder the talent pathway will mirror what is on offer for our male counter parts.
Members of the 2011 NT Thunder Womens Team will be selected from a mixture of methods:-
• Players will be nominated by their coaches
• Talent identification staff will be monitoring NTFL games
• Regional Development staff will identify regional talent
Some of the major benefits of being a part of the squad are
• High performance coaching
• Fitness / Training camps
• Womens Round Exhibition Match Fri, Nov 26th, 2010 8:15pm
Initial training sessions will be open to ALL who wish to give it a go, learn new skills, get fitter or just play more football. Note: you must be 16+ to be eligible to play.
