The NTFL Umpires Association are looking for new recruits and are holding FREE Come and Try Evening at TIO Stadium on the 9th September at 5.45pm.
The NTFL Umpires Association is looking for new recruits for the 2009/10 TIO NTFL Season and they are holding a FREE “Come & Try Umpiring Evening” next Wednesday the 9th of September at TIO Stadium No. 1 Oval starting at 5.45pm.
AFL Northern Territory Umpiring Development Manager Mark Noonan is looking forward to the evening with prizes and giveaways on offer for those willing to try out Umpiring. Noonan said he hopes to give the public a taste of umpiring with basic fun drills over the hour and finish up with a BBQ.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re 13 or 65, male or female, an athlete or not, anyone can have a go at umpiring in either the Field, on the Boundary or in the Goals.”
“We cater for all and it’s a great way to develop leadership and confidence and make new friends. You will receive free coaching and mentoring and most important you can have some fun, get fit and paid for it!”
