Rec Footy: A Game For Everyone!

Registrations are now open for teams in AFL Northern Territory's Recreational Football Tournament at TIO Stadium.

Registrations are now open for AFL Northern Territory’s annual Rec Footy Tournament which will begin on Monday 19th July at TIO Stadium at 6.30 pm.
AFL Recreational Football is designed so that everyone can play.

It’s a safe, easy-to-play, non-contact game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and ability levels in a social environment. The game enables people of all ages and ability levels to participate in male, female or mixed competitions. It truly is: ‘The Game For Everyone’.

“We urge all people no matter their fitness level, skill or ability to come and have a go,” said AFL NT’s Participation Manager Wayne Walsh. “It’s a great opportunity to get a group of friends or work colleagues together and have some fun.”

If you feel like playing a game that is fun, fast and exciting and retains the traditional elements of football then make sure you make your way down to TIO Stadium.

Registration fees for 2010 are as follows, $800 per team for entire tournament. We recommend you have a minimum of 10 players per team which works out to  $80 person,  thats just $8.00 per week!
If you are looking for something that is less physically demanding, has a minimal time commitment and no risk of serious injury then make your way down to TIO Stadium.
