Registrations are now open for the Junior Dry Season activities, for those aged 8-12 years in Darwin.
There are six events on offer from April to August and all these events are free of charge, although registration is required to participate.
No prior football experience is necessary, as each event will commence with a short skill session before delving into friendly round-robin style games.
For the 5-8 year olds, we also have NAB AFL Auskick running across the dry season, and you can find further information and register at one of the seven NT Auskick centres here: play.afl/Auskick
AFL Northern Territory Manager of Game Development and Planning, Emily Wastle-Hopkins encourages everyone to register and bring their youngsters along to the join in on the footy fun.
“These activities will provide the perfect opportunity for new participants to give footy a go before the next NTFL season commences and the new NTFL Juniors competition starts, while returning participants can also stay engaged and brush up on their skills.
“With most of the activities being held prior to NT Thunder home games, participants (and a guardian) will gain free entry to the NEAFL/VFLW game to cap-off a great day of dry season footy,” Wastle-Hopkins said.
