A Men’s Premier League game will be broadcast on 7MATE in Darwin and the Central service footprint as a delayed telecast every Sunday until the end of the TIO NTFL 2017/18 season, including the finals rounds. There may be some slight changes during the season depending on programming commitments.
Coverage kicked off last week with the clash between Nightcliff and St Mary’s. The people of Darwin and the Central NT who can’t get to the game will be able to see every minute of the game. And those who have seen it live can re-live it all again.
Kym Menzies General Manager, Southern Cross Television said ‘We are delighted after last year’s trial to again be able to support the game and bring the local footy comp to our viewers so they can see their local players in action.’
“We recognise that football is great way to engage our younger viewers including our indigenous viewers who either play or just love watching the game. The AFLNT provides a great platform for our young footballers, many who aspire and will go onto other competitions including the AFL’ he said.
AFLNT CEO Michael Solomon said, ‘We are delighted that the NTFL competition has returned to our screens on Southern Cross Television’.
“This broadcast will be a new frontier and take the game to the fans in their homes in both Darwin and remote communities providing a weekly opportunity to watch the NTFL, it is a very exciting time’.
