The AFLNT State Academy Under 18s team to play the Brisbane Lions Academy this Saturday has been named ahead of the clash at TIO Stadium.
Talented Southern Districts player Keenan Waterbury has come into the side to provide experience, leadership and skill.
Leslie Maroney and Nathan Mu also come into the side with coach Jimmy Driscoll describing them as “two hard nosed ball winners that will give us first use.”
Driscoll said “This is another opportunity for us to play against a really professional unit in the Brisbane Lions.”
“It’s going to be a test to see whether we can improve on maintaining our pressure and attack on the ball.”
“We will again be looking for Matty Green and Rodney Baird to perform after their good performances last week,” he said
The team will be captained by Marcus Valastro.
