Tickets for the two 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership games in the Northern Territory go on sale today with fans urged to get in quick.
Both games will feature the Melbourne Football Club as part of the Northern Territory Governments partnership with the AFL to bring elite Australian football to the Top End and Central Australia.
The Demons will host the Gold Coast Suns in Alice Springs as a twilight game during Round 10 on Saturday 27 May, as part of Sir Doug Nicholls Indigenous Round.
They will then host the Adelaide Crows in Darwin as a night game on Saturday 15 July, in Round 17.
Both games are expected to sell-out with hundreds of fans travelling to the Northern Territory to combine a holiday with the opportunity to watch their favourite team in action in a unique setting.
AFLNT CEO Michael Solomon said he was looking forward to having the AFL in town once more.
"We've been working diligently with the Darwin Entertainment Centre to bring forward the ticket pre-sale window due to the amount of enquiries we have been getting to purchase tickets.
"The Darwin game in particular is likely to be a sell out and I encourage everyone to buy their tickets early".
Minister for Tourism and Culture, Lauren Moss echoed Solomon's sentiments.
"This is a very exciting time for Northern Territory sport fans and I encourage everyone to get in early and purchase tickets.
"In 2017, we get to see the Melbourne Demons play against different opposition in the Suns and Crows, creating some extra excitement come game day in Alice Springs and Darwin.
"The Territory Labor Government is proud to bring top-tier sport to Territorians and I look forward to seeing a packed stadium at both matches," Ms Moss said.
