TIO NTFL MATCH REVIEW PANEL - RD 5

FULL STATEMENT: 2016/17 TIO NTFL SEASON

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 5 of the 2016/17 TIO NTFL Season.
 
The following charges have been laid in the senior divisions:  

MEN'S PREMIER LEAGUE
 
Daniel Russell, Palmerston Football Club, has been charged with striking, during the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men's Premier League match between Palmerston and Wanderers at Asbuild Oval on Sunday 6 November 2016.
 
Based on the umpire's report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.
 
In summary, Russell can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
 
MEN'S DIVISION 1
 
Aaron Gepp, Palmerston Football Club, has been charged with striking, during the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men's Division 1 match between Palmerston and PINT at Asbuild Oval on Sunday 6 November 2016.
 
Based on the umpire's report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, severe impact and high contact.
 
This incident has been referred to the Tribunal.
 
MENS DIVISION 2
 
Alan Nolan, Mindil Sharks Football Club, has been charged with kicking another player, during the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men's Division 2 match between Tracy Village and Mindil at Tracy Village Oval on Sunday 6 November 2016.
 
Based on the umpire's report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, medium impact and body contact, resulting in a two-match penalty.
 
In summary, Nolan can accept a one-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
