TIO NTFL MATCH REVIEW PANEL - RD 2

FULL STATEMENT: 2016/17 TIO NTFL SEASON

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Round 2 of the 2016/17 TIO NTFL Season.
The following charges have been laid:
MEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE
Lachlan Dale, Tiwi Bombers Football Club, has been charged with striking, during the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Tiwi Bombers and Nightcliff at REC Oval on Saturday 15 October 2016.
Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional, low impact and body contact, resulting in a one-match suspension.
In summary, Dale can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.
Dustin Gordon, Waratah Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct, during the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between Wanderers and Waratah at TIO Stadium on Saturday 15 October 2016.
Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as careless, high impact and high contact, resulting in a three-match suspension.
In summary, Gordon can accept a two-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
Other matters assessed:
Contact between Southern Districts’ Keegan Dingo and Palmerston’s Justin Emery from the fourth quarter of Sunday’s match was assessed. It was determined no further action would be taken.
