SIX TERRITORIANS LISTED FOR DRAFT TESTING

The AFL announced the final group of players that will attend the national 2016 NAB AFL Draft Combine and State Combines, meaning six current and former AFLNT State Academy players have been selected for testing.

Ben Long, Tony Olango and Brandan Parfitt have all been selected to attend the four-day NAB AFL Draft Combine, which kicks off at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on Thursday October 6.
Meanwhile, Alice Springs will have two of their locals in Rohan Armstrong and Jamie Hampton putting their best foot forward at the State Combine testing in Melbourne on October 9.
Willie Rioli, a former NT State Academy player, now 21-years-old, has been listed on the 'small forwards' list and will attend the Adelaide State Combine testing on October 15.
At 176cm, Long played a key role for the Allies during the National Championships while playing alongside Olango and Parfitt.
The 18-year old, who is boarding at Melbourne Grammar, won a premiership last weekend with Footscray in the Victorian Football League competition.
Olango, 18, has represented the Northern Territory at the NAB AFL National Under-18 Championships for the past two years and was selected in the Allies team to compete in Division One of the 2016 NAB AFL Under-18 National Championships.
At 201cm, the Kenyan-born ruckman is a member of the NAB AFL Academy squad that trained in Florida earlier this year.
Parfitt is a 177cm midfielder and a well-established player having represented the AIS Academy in its game against VFL side Werribee earlier this year. He has also played in two exhibition games against VFL sides.
Parfitt is the youngest ever winner of the Nightcliff Football Club’s best-and-fairest award which he won at the age of 16 following a standout 2014/15 season in the NTFL.
Armstrong showed his versatility playing in a variety of positions at the NAB U18 National Championships this year. He had plenty of the ball playing as an inside player and again while using his speed on the outside. He has an elite left kick and was awarded the NT Most Valuable Player for the carnival while also gaining selection in the Allies team.
Hampton has been attending Immanuel College in Adelaide and plays for the West Adelaide Reserves in the SANFL U18 competition. He is a utility type player who can play forward or back and had consistent performances at U18 Nationals and Allies level.
Hampton showed good resilience during school holidays when the other boarders went home and he decided to stay in Adelaide and train.
Rioli is a skilful small forward who has shown some of his best footy playing for Glenelg in the SANFL this past season, and on more than one occasion has been the inspiration in getting a team win. In the SA v VIC representative game earlier in the year he kicked four goals. This year will be Rioli's second go at the State Combine after he was listed as a 2013 draft prospect.
