AFL9s – THE PERFECT SOCIAL SPORT FOR THE DRY

Calling all guys and girls who want to have a bit of fun with friends, while keeping fit on a Monday night.

AFL9s is back for 2016 and starts Monday 11 April at CDU. The competition will run from 6-7pm every Monday for 10 weeks.
Get your mates, colleagues, family or strangers together to create a team or register on your own and we’ll help you find a team.
AFL9s is a non-contact, basic-rules social game which is great for people of all sporting abilities.
Rather than tackling an opposition player for the ball the aim is to chase them down and attempt to ‘touch’ them.
A full game takes no longer than 40 minutes and guarantees a solid cardio workout.
AFLNT Manager of Club and Game Development, Jennifer Le Quesne said AFL9s is the perfect social sport to play during the dry season.
“I enjoy playing it because it means I get to compete alongside some of my best friends in what is a pretty low pressure and really fun atmosphere,” Le Quesne said.
“It is a really easy game to learn and is a great way to spend a Monday evening.”
AFL9s is the official social version of AFL football, which is growing in popularity right around the country.
In the NT we play with 6 aside with a rotating bench so everyone can have a go.
