Ilett set to hand over the reins of NT Thunder
Northern Territory Football Club General Manager Jarred Ilett announces the time is right to hand over the reins of NT Thunder.
After six years at the club, which included three years as a player and three as Chief Executive Officer, Ilett is set to embark on the next phase of his career.
Ilett comments:
“The time is right for me to move on and I do so in the knowledge that the club is in a strong position, financially, administratively and is well resourced to challenge for the 2015 NEAFL Premiership. My number one motivation in the role has been to strengthen the player pathway and to ensure local players continued to have the opportunity to represent the NT in a state league competition whilst living at home – an opportunity I was very fortunate to experience myself.”
“Since Thunder’s first season in 2009, we have had many amazing people come through the club who have all contributed to the success in establishing NT Thunder as a professional and inspirational brand within the local community and one that is respected nationally. I am extremely privileged to have been part of this great football club and proud of my time at NT Thunder which has for me been life changing in the most positive way possible.”
“I thank the outgoing NTFC board, AFLNT board, our valued sponsors & funding partners, stakeholders, Thunder members and importantly the wonderful fans and my dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic team for their support and hard work over the years.”
“Over coming weeks I will transition out of the role ensuring a proper hand over is afforded to the incoming General Manager.”
“I am excited about the next phase of my career working in Government with the newly appointed Northern Territory Sports Minister, The Hon Mr Gary Higgins, MLA.”
