This year six of the Top End’s premier secondary schools say no to smoking as part of the 2012 Quit Now Cup.
"The Quit Now Cup has been running for several years exposing and educating secondary students the harmful effects of smoking and encouraging diversion away from these habits into a more healthy and active lifestyle," said AFL Northern Territory Quit Now Cup Manager, Oliver Cook.
The competition will be running for the next six weeks, with the two top teams battling it out in the Grand Final for the 2012 Quit Now Cup in early September.
The first round results are below with arch rivals St Johns and Kormilda going down to the wire in close tussle during the opening round of the Quit Now Cup.
