Cazalys Champion Club Award

Cazalys Champion Club Award

AFL Northern Territory today announced the winner of the 2011/12 Cazalys Champion Club Award for the best performed NTFL club on and off the field.

After Southern Districts Football Club took out the award in 2010/11 in a close contest, the award has followed a similar trend during this season with Nightcliff FC winning on 115 points ahead of Waratah (111.5) and Southern Districts (86.5).

The Cazalys Champion Club Award is awarded to the club that has demonstrated a commitment toward developing a positive football environment.

Clubs are awarded points for the implementation of best practice models for their football programs including wins in all grades, player conduct, junior development and accreditation of coaching staff.

Cazalys General Manager Noel Fahey said the close competition is a reflection of the commitment by clubs to grow and develop their football programs.

"Cazalys Palmerston Club is once again very pleased to be sponsoring this award and we congratulate all clubs for their participation and support", said Mr Fahey.

"Special congratulations go to the Nightcliff Football Club for winning the award after clearly demonstrating excellence across all aspects of their football operations".

The presentation of the Cazalys Champion Club Award will take place on Saturday 17 March during the pre Grand Final Function at Kantilla’s Function Centre, TIO Stadium. Cazalys Marketing Manager David Lowe will formally present Tigers President Mark Kelly and Vice President Jeff Borella with the award and cash prize before invited guests.
