Thunder Juniors is back in Alice Springs from Saturday 6th May!
Thunder Juniors is the pathway from NAB AFL Auskick to youth football in the Alice Springs.
Children will get their first taste of playing in a club environment with rules that are modified to maximise skill development, participation and fun.
What age can kids play Thunder Juniors?
Under 10s
Turning 8, 9 or 10 years-old in 2023
Under 12s
Turning 11, or 12 years old in 2023
When?
The first round of Alice Springs Thunder Juniors is:
Under 10s will play at 8:30 am from Saturday 6 May at TIO Traeger Park Oval.
Under 12s will play at 9:30 am from Saturday 6 May at TIO Traeger Park Oval.
Training
Thunder Juniors training will be held at TIO Traeger Park from 4:30-5:30 pm and will begin on Wednesday 3rd May.
Volunteers
Thunder Juniors relies heavily on volunteers to help coach and manage teams, to register your interest as a volunteer email david.thomas@afl.com.au
Umpires
Thunder Juniors is a great place to start umpiring as both the players and umpires are learning the ropes of our amazing game. No previous experience is needed so get in the game and get paid for having the best seat in the house.
