TIO Stadium

The premier outdoor stadium

TIO Stadium, formerly Marrara Stadium, is the premier outdoor stadium in the Northern Territory and was built in 1991, primarily to cater for Australian Football.TIO Stadium has a unique Territory feel with open air viewing and traditional football sights from the grassy mounds. You are able to watch AFL games in the comfort of an air-conditioned corporate box, the Kantilla’s members' bar or from the premium viewing alfresco wings.

TIO Stadium hosts one Toyota AFL Home and Away game per year and also hosts NAB AFLW games. The renowned wet-season Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) season is primarily based at TIO Stadium and it is also home to the AFL Northern Territory administration team. NT Thunder which plays in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL) is also situated at TIO Stadium. TIO Stadium is renowned for holding concerts and other major events in the Northern Territory including annual NRL home and away fixtures for the Territories 'home team’ the Paramatta Eels, a Rugby League World Cup Quarter Final in late 2017, and previously hosted entertainment spectacles including Elton John, Nitro Circus and the Crusty Demons.

In November 2016, AFLNT together with Territory Insurance Office (TIO), announced a $1 million, 10-year extension to the naming rights sponsorship of TIO Stadium.

A naming rights partner of both the TIO NTFL and TIO CAFL competitions, the sponsorship renewal allows TIO to continue its 26-year involvement and support of football in the Territory through to 2026.
