This initiative highlights the serious health harms caused by smoking and vaping and the range of tools and support that can help you quit.
Quitting smoking can:
- Improve your health
- Protect your family and community
- Save you money.
Lots of people have to try a few times to quit. Every time you try, you learn something new that can help you next time.
You’ve just got to keep at quitting, until one day you give up for good.
There are lots of support services available to help you. Often, using a few ways together works best:
- Talk to your local health worker, doctor or pharmacist
- Call Quitline on 13 7848 and ask to yarn to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander counsellors
- Visit quit.org.au for information and resources to help your quit journey
- Download the free My QuitBuddy app.
Visit the team at the ‘Give Up For Good’ activation on game day for information, resources and a chat, and learn more at health.gov.au/GiveUpForGood.
