The Waratah Football Club, a foundation club of the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL), is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Coach for our Women's Premier League side. Waratah is the most successful women's club in the NTFL, and we are looking for a passionate coach to continue and build upon this legacy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Women's Premier League team with a focus on player development and team success.
• Implement modern training and match-day coaching techniques.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Work closely with club officials, support staff, and stakeholders to achieve team objectives.
• Develop and execute structured training programs and match strategies.
Key Competencies:
• People Management & Planning:
• Capacity to effectively manage talented athletes and support staff.
• Ability to lead and influence within a high-performance environment.
• Structured and sequential planning within a dynamic football season.
• Understanding of Northern Territory Football Landscape is highly regarded.
Football Knowledge:
• Proven ability to build a successful team culture.
• Strong knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies.
• Sound understanding of skill development learning strategies.
• Commitment to ongoing personal development in the area of coach education.
Effective Communication:
• Highly developed and proven communication (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability build relationships with athletes from a diverse background.
Qualifications:
• Minimum foundation Coach Accreditation or ability to obtain. Preferably a level 2 accreditation
• Ochre card or ability to obtain
• Sports Integrity Australia’s Competition manipulation and sports gambling certificate
• Significant and successful experience in an Australian Football, or comparative coaching.
