2024 SunCable BAFL Recap – NAB AFL Auskick and Superkick update

BAFL Recap

With no senior footy over the weekend, thanks to a league-wide bye, the juniors took centre stage with a NAB AFL Auskick and NAB AFL Superkick clinic taking place.

For over two decades, the Tennant Creek NAB AFL Auskick Centre stood as a sturdy pillar in the local community, nurturing young talents and instilling a love for the game.

Announced in November of 2023, Superkick was created to bridge the gap between Auskick and junior football.

Over the weekend was the second week of the NAB AFL Auskick and Superkick programs.

What was previously named Thunder Juniors, transitioning into Barkly Under 10’s, has now become the NAB Superkick.

Superkick participants can be anyone from year two all through to year six of school.

Both boys and girls participated in both programs with 21 participants in each.

The lead up to the programs was an anxious wait for all, as children in the area were eager to start, asking Wayne Green the participation and competition lead when it would start.

“With both Auskick & Superkick being community driven programs, it has been awesome to see so many parents bringing their children down and being part of the fun,” Green Said.

Spots are still available for registration.
