Nightcliff will face Waratah at 12:15PM at TIO Stadium in what shapes as a huge semi-final encounter. One team will advance to compete for a spot in the TIO NTFL Women’s Premier League Grand Final, while the other will be sent packing.

These two teams have split the honours this season with Waratah claiming a victory in Round 9 and Nightcliff getting the points a fortnight ago in Round 18. Mickayla Ward, Gypsy Schirmer, Maighan Fogas all had strong performances that night and will be hoping to replicate that tomorrow.

Nightcliff fought hard but were ultimately outclassed by St Mary’s last weekend. Just the five players recorded more than ten disposals, with Christy Landwehr continuing her excellent season and leading the way with a team-high 18 touches.

Waratah were far too strong in last weekend’s elimination final, smashing the Darwin Buffettes to the tune of 103-points. Maya Netherway, Alysha Healy, Jamilla Cranny all starred while Steph O’Brien and captain Kierra Zerafa both recorded over 30-disposals each.

The dangerous Aggie Singh-Lippo remains a game-breaker having booted five goals last weekend in what was her first appearance in over a month.

It is hard to tip a winner in what should be a ripping contest.
