About the Micheal Long Learning & Leadership Centre

Officially opened on the 13th March 2015 by Patron in Chief ,Michael Long, AFL Commission Chairman, Mike Fitzpatrick, and Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, the Hon Jamie Briggs, the Michael Long Learning and Leadership Centre (MLLLC) is designed to harness the power of AFL football in the Northern Territory (NT) to give young Indigenous Territorians the same opportunities as their non-Indigenous peers. The MLLLC has a focus well beyond football in order to provide a unique sporting and education model that will cater for Indigenous male and female students from remote areas. The Centre has a residential component comprising of accommodation for up to 60 children from Remote NT Communities.
